Dating to the period of the artistic  renaissance in Russia, centered in St. Petersburg, and fueled by Alexander III. Among its most renowned products are the Imperial Easter Eggs by Faberge which employ the same technique, enameling as on this bell. Russian cloisonne of the period is distinguished by its bold colors and the graceful form of the objects to which it is applied. This example is in excellent oxidation with no damage or loss.
